Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who do you serve?

A: Arts For All serves approximately 5,000 children ages 4-19 each year! Through Arts For All, professional artists work with youth organizations to reach children who have little means or opportunity to explore the arts due to economic disadvantages, physical and mental disabilities, hospitalization, socialization issues, emotional trauma, or any other life challenge. Our programs operate in schools, hospitals, shelters, and youth centers all over the greater New York City area. For more information, please visit our Who We Serve page.

Q: What kinds of services do you offer?

A: Arts For All’s programs are unique because rather than running out of a facility that may only be accessible to a select population, we go where the need is the greatest. Our professional teaching artists and volunteers bring our programs into schools, hospitals, shelters, and other youth centers around NYC.  Youth organizations are selected for programming by submitting an application to be reviewed by the Arts For All board of directors, which details the need within the youth organization. We offer creative programs in almost every arts discipline you can imagine including: drama, dance, music, film, video editing, painting, sculpture, drawing, mask and puppet making, academic based art projects, and more. If you do not see a workshop that suits your needs, Arts For All is happy to create an original workshop to better serve the children at your organization. We also offer specialty programs such as the Audience Project, where children have the opportunity to see professional theater productions. For a more detailed description of what we offer, visit our What We Do page.
